About

My story with graphic design started at a young age. Crafts paved the way for my interest in art. I was one of those kids who often practiced her handwriting and had doodles covering her homework.

In high school, after joining the yearbook staff, I realized that my interests melded together into graphic design. When I told her that I might be interested in graphic design, my aunt and godmother, who was one of my biggest influences in life and in art, responded that she thought I was well-suited for the field. After the endorsement from her and my parents, I was sold.

Since photography and writing are important aspects of my life in addition to design, I chose to major in Visual Communications at the University of South Carolina. In my freshman year, I took a book binding elective and realized that while I loved my major, I missed the fine arts aspect of my education. So, I picked up a studio art minor with a graphic design concentration. From there, I used extracurriculars and internships to bring my education out of the classroom and into practical application.

Now, as a working designer, I am always looking for ways to continue growing and practicing. By doing freelance and nonprofit work outside of my 9-to-5, I am able to work across a variety of industries and media, keep up with trends, and connect with the community.

Appreciating efficiency, my aesthetic tends to focus on clean, streamlined design. I always enjoy a project when I can incorporate a joyful mood into the final product and aim to bring a spot of brightness into everything I do.
